Below you will find summaries of the continuing education requirements for mental health and addiction counselors, marriage and family therapists and psychologists in your state and links to the appropriate regulations.

 

Professions

 

Addiction Professionals

Precertification/Licensure

Appears training from an IC&RC and NAADAC approved provider like AllCEUs would be accepted.

100% of training may be online 

Continuing Education

Appears CEUs from an IC&RC and NAADAC approved provider like AllCEUs would be accepted.

 

 

 

Marriage and Family Therapists

Accepted Approvals:

(b) Continuing education units that by title and content deal with marriage and family therapy
practice and therapeutic issues, ethics and supervision of marriage and family therapy shall be approved by the Board.

 

 

 

Mental Health Counselors

Accepted Approvals:

CRCC preapproved courses for at least 25 hours

No more than 15 hours from non-CRCC preapproved courses

 

Pastoral Counselors

Accepted Approvals:

A total of at least 50 hours from ALL the combined categories is required. Of the 50 hours, 20 hours must be contact hours in either Category I-Pastoral Theology, Category II-Clinical Theory and Practice, or Category III-Pastoral, Psychological and Psychiatric Diagnosis.

 

 

 

 

 

Psychologists

Accepted Approvals:

Only 9 hours can be acquired from AllCEUs.

Addiction

Precertification/prelicensure curriculum and ongoing continuing education for addiction counselors, recovery support specialists and other addiction professionals. 

Child Development & Parenting

Online courses on child development adolescent development, parenting skills and special needs of college students.

Diagnosis and Treatment

Assessment, diagnosis and treatment of common mental disorders in the DSM 5 TR and ICD-11

Goal Setting & Motivation

Explore goal setting best practices, types of motivation, ways to enhance motivation, causes for resistance and behavior modification techniques.

Integrative / Holistic & Neuropsychology
