Psychosocial Aspects of Disability (17 Hours)

This course is designed to familiarize the clinician with the psychosocial issues of diabetes, kidney disease, and chronic conditions and provide them with tools to assist in management of the psychosocial aspects of these conditions.

Additionally, since the diagnosis of a chronic condition or development of a disability can be traumatic, and since the majority of people have experienced some level of trauma in their lives, participants will also explore the psychosocial aspects of trauma and ways to assist their clients in dealing with that trauma.
