2. Register and start taking your addiction-specific training (ranges from 180 hours to 360 hours depending on your state requirements)  AllCEUs offers online self study training ($399)
3. Begin getting your clinical hours and supervision.  You can be working on these while you are taking the addiction-specific training classes.
4. Take (and pass) the test required by your state
5. Voila!  You are certified
